Since 1981, this Pennsylvania gift shop company/store with a selection of jewelry, handbags, purses, figurines, and many other novelty items supplied the wants and needs of customers. The company's brand selections were Vera Bradley, Swaroski, Danski, Brighton, and Pandora jewelry.

CHALLENGES:

As a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, my ambition was to work with owners, executives, and assistants to fulfill a goal. The main goal was to increase sales and brand awareness of the company by introducing a new line of six musical jewelry box products for Gift Design Galleries. 

SOLUTIONS:

Based on group discussion, marketing strategy, and cost, my task was to propose new creative options for the musical jewelry boxes (4.5" x 3.25" ceramic tops) centered on songs and images that appeal to customers. The creative for the jewelry boxes included sketches, client presentations, layouts, traditional artwork, digital illustration, photo retouching, and file preparation.

RESULTS:

There was an increase in brand awareness and increased sales for Gift Design Galleries. Also, I received royalties on the six jewelry boxes until the products were out of print (three years).
